    • LOCAL WILLS.
      Probate has been granted of the will (dated 20th February, 1885) of Mr. John Duckwortb, late of Unsworth Lodge, Pilkington, Lancashire, whose personal estate is declared to be of the value of £61,563, by the executors, Thomas Holt, of Bury, Harry Grundy, of Bury, and John Reynolds, of Hyde, Chester. to each of whom the testator bequeaths £100, and to his daughter, Sarah Ellen Halstead, his horses, carriages, consumable stores, and £4000 absolutely. He also gives to his said daughter the use and occupation for her life of Unsworth Lodge, and leaves in trust £4000 to pay the income thereof, at the discretion of his executors, to his daughter, Elizabeth Butterworth, for her life, with the reversion to the capital sum for his grandson John Wilfred Butterworth, for whose benefit also he leaves in trust the sum of £10,000. His real estate and the residue of his personal estate the testator leaves in trust to pay the income thereof to his said daughter, Sarah Ellen Halstead for her life, with remainder to her children; but in default of issue, to such person or persons (other than her husband) as she may appoint.
