    • MR. JOHN HALSTEAD
      The death took place last Sunday of Mr. John Halstead (81), of 11 Albert Street. Mr Halstead, who was connected with St. Peter's Church all his life, was clothlooker at Browhead Mill from its commencement to his retirement in 1929. In his early days he played with Burnley Belvedere Football Club, and was also a keen poultry and pigeon fancier. The funeral took place on Wednesday, and the Rev. G. C Roodhouse officiated at at the services. Arrangements: Mr. T. Gledhill, Brunshaw-road.•
