  	CANAL TRAGEDY. BARROWFORD WOMAN FOUND DROWNED. Yesterday afternoon, about two o’clock, when near the Nelson and Barrowford boundary, Fred Holman, weaver, of Sandy-lane, Barrowford, saw the body of a woman floating in the canal at Hodge House Bridge. He gave information to the police, who recovered the body, which was found to be that of Mary Elizabeth Eastwood, married woman, weaver, of 23, Lee Street, Barrowford. The deceased resided with her husband. She had enjoyed good health until about three weeks ago and had complained of dizziness and pains in her head. She had consulted Dr. McCreedy, who had prescribed for her. Yesterday morning her husband and daughter left the house at 6 20 to go to work leaving the deceased apparently in her usual state of health. She at that time made no complaint. She was not again seen alive by her husband.
