  	DEATH OF A FEMALE FROM INTOXICATION On Wednesday afternoon last, an inquest was held at the " Butchers' Arms," East Moor, before G. D. Barker, Esq., deputy-coroner, and a respectable jury, on the body of a female named Ann Milner, whose husband resides in Halifax; and whose death appears to have resulted from habits of intoxication. Milton Milner, of Halifax, in his examination said—l am a post-boy at the White Swan Inn in Halifax. The deceased is my wife. She is 39 years old. She and I have lived separate for nearly six years, on account of her habits of drinking and going with other men. I saw her about two months ago, in the streets, in Halifax, for the last time; but did not speak to her. She was in the habit of often getting intoxicated. We have had six children, but they are all dead; and have been married about seventeen years. We lived together three or four years, and then parted. She has since been a woman of bad character, and has hawked, partly, for a living. She had a paramour named "Besom Jack" with whom she lived. Several other witnesses were examined from which it appeared that the unfortunate woman was found by the watch drunk in the street on Monday morning, with her elbow bleeding (the result no doubt of a fall); she was conveyed to the vagrant ottice, and a surgeon called in to her assistance. The vagrant office, however, was quite full, and the deceased was taken to a lodging house. She left the house, apparently better, in the morning, hat at 3 o'clock on Monday afternoon she was found laid by the road side near Rengate, convulsed with a fit, her head on her basket. She died a few minutes after. Verdict " died of apoplexy.
