In questioning Bruce regarding the differance in the marital date with Grace Winnagle's work, he replies: "no big deal...Ohio marriages often took place and then were recorded later........the communities had a circuit minister who sometimes only showed up once a year...and when he got to the court house he put down all the marriages as of that date...
quite common practice...got my date from the court house record...its only a week or so off....and their only son John was not born for 5 years after that...."
