  	Our first source, "HALSTEAD - Outline Guide..." lists only four children and one wife; while the 2nd source lists eight children, two spouses, and notes "children: by 1st wife". The second source also has Albert Bartlett Kellogg marrying two of the sisters without any comments or explanation, it is assumed that possibly the older sister died and her widower married her younger sister...but this is NOT known as fact. There is also a possibilty that older sister Mila married Albert Bartlett as shown in our first source, and that younger sister Betsy married a different Albert who was name Albert Kellogg? G.A.H. In Hester HALSTEAD Pier’s manuscript and last work, she provides us with the lineage from Samuel and Hannah, down through Lemual and Marilla [Doud] HALSTEAD, and their son Benjamin HALSTEAD and his marriage to Rhoda [Baily] HALSTEAD and their children. Hester HALSTEAD Pier’s manuscript is the first document we found Benjamin, his wife Rhoda, and their children listed. Hester lists ten children, including a Elizabeth D. HALSTEAD born circa 1850 and marrying Albert B. Kellogg in 1879. However, in examining the 1860 and 1870 census enumeration for the family, Elizabeth is not listed in either enumeration, and thus there is a question of whether Benjamin and Rhoda even had a daughter names Elizabeth, having found no other source to verify the existence of this child. The question is further amplified in that a 2nd Elizabeth/Betsy HALSTEAD, that of the daughter of Stephen Lawrence and Delilah [Moore] HALSTEAD is listed by Hester on page 63 of her manuscript, and also identified as having married Albert Bartlett Kellogg in 1870. With the help of Forest Smith, we have found the following marriage record from Clinton County, Michigan, USA: "HOLSTEAD,BETSEY D HOLSTEAD, KELLOGG, ALBERT B KELLOGG,CLINTON,,16 AUG 1879,---,---,---, " G.A.H.
