- Hi Gary.
Norma was my dad's cousin by marriage (Norma having married Claude, Jr.) so I guess that made her my 2nd cousin. Is that right? I always called her Aunt Norma because that was what we were taught to do as children, but, of course, that is only out of respect for family traditions. Claude Sr. was his dad, born Dec. 1879.
I know Christine and Pam pretty well, having been to Pam and Dan Sanquist's house in Grosse Ile a few times. Christine (never married) previously had lived with her mom, Norma, in Redford, Michigan, USA but on March 3, 2005 Norma fell and broke her arm. While she was recovering in a nursing home (Village Presbyterian in Redford) the doctor diagnosed her as having dementia. After that, Christine realized the end was not far off so she sold the house in Redford in June, 2005 and moved in with Pam and Dan. This was to be a temporary arrangement until Christine got her own apartment. I do not know if this actually happened.
Anyway, on April 10th Norma ended up in St. Mary's Hospital in Livonia, Michigan, USA and that is where she died on April 13th.
As for Claude, your date and place of death is correct. Claude was born in Bradford, PA on July 22, 1915, but I assume you have that information already.
Best regards and happy Easter, Diane
