  	Dorothy Lee Halstead, 86, lifelong resident of St. Augustine, passed away Feb. 2, 2006 at St. Johns Healthcare Center. She was of Methodist faith, a member of Women of the Moose, a lunch lady at S.A.H.S. for many years, a homemaker and a devoted mother and grandmother. She is survived by three siblings, sister, Marion McCullough, brother, L.D. Brown (Jeanie), brother Phillip Brown and the late LeRoy Brown; three children, daughter, Lola Ponce (Charles), of St. Augustine, and sons, Gerald Halstead of Savannah, Ga., John Halstead (Pat), of Screvens, Ga.; former daughter-in-law, Kathie Halstead; nine grandchildren, Shantel DeLorenzo (Andy), Sarah Higgins (Chuck), Rob Halstead, Marie de Armas (Franky), Danny Halstead, Donnie Conner, Kimber Ponce, Chuck Ponce (Karen), Brad Ponce; 10 great- grandchildren, Alex Cuculiza, Sydney DeLorenzo, Kai DeLorenzo, Quinn Higgins, Emma Higgins, Evan Higgins, one-on-the-way Higgins, Miguel de Armas, Manuel de Armas, Amber Brown, Whitney Brown; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Jesse Halstead, daughter, Sarah Maness, and grandson, Todd Anthony Maness. She loved to crochet, especially blankets for newborn babies. She was deeply loved and will be greatly missed. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 6, at First United Methodist Church on King Street. Please join us afterwards at Shantel and Andy DeLorenzo's, 5184 Medoras Ave., for a celebration of her life. In lieu of flowers please make donations to St. Johns Healthcare Center and NE Florida Community Hospice. Craig Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of the arrangements.
