[2] - Hello, my name is Jason Halsted and I have information for you on Tolley. Tolley was my great-uncle. He was born on Aug. 16th, 1919 in Tillman, OK. He had 6 brothers and 4 sisters named George, Therial, Bessie, Dessie, Ray, Fay, Ruby, Herbert, Earl, and Rupert. His parents names' were George Mac Halsted and Tamer Estelle Western. He and my grandpa Wayne, (Rupert), married two sisters named Priscilla and Sharon Loftin. They had four girls together named Holley, Lequita, Diane, and Darlene. Primarily, all the kids were born in Marshall, AR, except for Tolley and Herbert. The only reason Uncle Tolley and Uncle Hoover were born in Oklahoma was because Grandpa Mac was a sharecropper that would go from AR to CA and OK to work on farms to make money. Tolley died on April 19th, 1996 in Russellville, AR. He is buried in Witts Springs Cemetery, in Witts Springs, AR. Earl is the only one still alive today. He's in his 80's and currently resides in Pottsville, AR.
