- The report from the Smallpox Hospital at Sourhall shows a very satisfactory diminution of the cases under treatment as compared with a week ago, although it very disappointing to have to report two new cases admitted since our last issue, both young children, and brothers of a patient already there, who was rent about a fortnight ago. They are Sidney Halstead (4 years), and Eric Halstead (3 months), of Beech-view. Charlestown, and were removed to the hospital on Monday last. The disease is supposed to have been contracted in the Halstead household from a case which occurred in a house close by a few weeks back. On Saturday last five were discharged from the hospital cured, and on Wednesday four more, and there are now under treatment 12 patients only, of whom five are in the convalescent stage, and almost ready for discharge. Three of them are expected to be set free on Saturday. All the patients are reported doing well, and there are no severe cases.
