• Notes

  in the 1871 census Elizabeth and Edward are shown as the daughter and son of Martha CLARKE who is only 23. Their father and mother were both already dead anyway. There is clearly something wrong with the family but it is unclear as to exactly what without site of the original schedules that do not exist
