  	Andrew later became the City editor of the "Wheeling Intelligencer" and then started the "Saturday Evening Journal," a weekly paper devoted to society news, sporting news, etc. A half interest was purchased by G. W. Atkinson and others in the spring of 1883, and the paper was made an afternoon daily. Mr. Atkinson was a congressman, and subsequently governor of West Virginia. - Andrew Halsted sold the paper to the governor and moved to Minnesota in 1883 and bought a newspaper company that he renamed "The Brainerd Tribune." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ A.
