- Funeral of the Late Mrs. Jane Halstead.
On Saturday afternoon the funeral took place from her home 20 Every Street, Brierfield, of Mrs. Jane Halstead, whose death occurred on Tuesday week at the age of 61 years. Mrs. Halstead will be remembered by many having resided in the Brierfield district practically the whole of her life and having been employed during the past 30 years at the Brierfield Mills. Much sympathy has been extended to her husband, and three daughters who survive her. The interment took place in the Inghamite Burial Ground, Wheatley Carr, the Rev. Hodgson offered prayers at the home and Mr. Whittaker officiated at the services at Wheatley Carr. Phyllis and Mary; Jack and Mary Jane; Mr. and Mrs. Biddy, Edna, Jack, Jennie and Bill; David, Harold, Wilfred; The Neighbours, Every Street; Torn Burton ; Mrs. Waddington and Mr. Webb; Ethel and Jack, Terry (Urmstone), Her lady friend; Mr and Mrs. Duerden, Albert and Ada; Florrie and Billie; Mr. and Mrs. Hohnes and Ethel ; The Committee and Members of Byrden House Socialist Club; Elizabeth Ann; Evelyn and Fred. The Burnley Co-operative Society. Ltd., carried out the funeral arrangements.
