- Memorial services for Vaneta R. Seaman Kinnan, 89, were held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 14, 2007, at the Colyer Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jerry Hackett officiating. Cremation has taken place and private burial will take place at a later date. Vaneta died at Regional West Medical Center in Scottsbluff, Neb., on Feb. 9, 2007. Memorials have been established to either the Torrington Senior Friendship Center or the donor?s choice. Arrangements are under the direction of the Colyer Funeral Home and friends may send condolences to the family at www.colyerfuneralhome.com.
Vaneta was born Feb. 25, 1917, in Nebraska, the daughter of Albert and Nettie (Torrey) Seaman. She grew up and received her education in Torrington graduating from high school there. She married Kelly Kinnan and they were later divorced. She worked for the Civil Service in Fort Huachuca, Ariz., as a bookkeeper for many years. She moved back to Wyoming in 1966 where she worked at numerous places in Torrington.
Vaneta is survived by numerous nieces and nephews, great and great-great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one brother, George Milton Seaman, and one sister, Edith L. Bush.
