- Sue Holcroft provided scanned images of pages of the Family Bible which contained much of the data on the extension of this family. And that information will contain the source citation as Family Bible records of Lucinda Armstrong, w/o Warren Johnson, who is believed to be the original owner of the bible. Sue writes: "The Bible is in very bad shape. no cover and many loose pages. I know it came on the covered wagon from Pa. Since Tillman died after Ida I assume he was filled in by my grandmother Blanch Coburn Blanch and Bascomb's info is in my Mother's hand writing (Isabel) Since the first marriage was Warren johnson and Lucinda Armstrong I'm begionning to think the Bible belonged to her Warren Johnson (Perhaps Johnston) was from Rhode Island It's hard for my Mother to concentrate as she was born March24. 1912 But she did the research on Abigail Bennet before I started and she talks of Wilkes Barre and I think she went there as a child. She knew Jack Doud lived with them and told me that several years ago. It seems the census you sent would be hers also the names match up and Mother was born in Fort Dodge It looks to me that several people wrote in it died is spelled wrong in one Lucinda and Ida could not have written of their own deaths. I will see Mother tomorrow but I think I am going to say the Bible was Lucinda's as theirs is the first entry instead of Ida's It seems to me that the Effie and Sydney names carried diwn as is normal."
