He and Seversmith disposed of this error in the Seversmsith Ms., p.1264 where they showed that her mother was Agnes Mawde" John Preston Halstead 7 Nov 2000 e-mail to Mark R. Halstead; see also Seversmith Suppl 2,002 for children [siblings of Susan Whitley]. Matthew Wood writes "Abraham Halstead married...a member of a very old and settled family of Ovenden, which Seversmith traced back several generations in his "Colonial Families"
