Halstead Heap (30), bricklayer, of 17, Hufling-lane, was engaged on roof repairs houses in Tarleton-street yesterday morning, when he slipped on a cat ladder, and was thrown 24 feet to the ground. He was taken to Victoria Hospital in the ambulance and detained suffering from multiple abrasions to the face, hands and knees, severe shock, internal haemorrhage, and a suspected fracture of the skull.
