He was a Warp Dresser aged 26, a bachelor residing in Whitelee in Batley. His father was listed as John William DONKERSLEY, a Power Loom Tuner. Married in the Parish Church, according to the Rites and Ceremonies of the Established Church, by Certificate. The marriage was witnessed by Williamson LAW and Samuel OLDHAM.1,2
In the census of 31 March 1901 at White Lee, Heckmondwike, Yorkshire, England, Allen was listed as aged 34 born Batley, the Head of Household; a Rug Weaver, liviing with his wife Mary E, daughter Amy, mother Nancy DONKERSLEY.3
In the census of 2 April 1911 at 98 Park Terrace, Fountain Street, Morley, Yorkshire, England, Allen was listed as aged 47 born Batley, the Head of Household; a Cotton Warp Dresser, living with his wife Mary Ellen (married 20 years - child - none living), mother Mary DONKERSLEY, cousins Amd and John FIRTH.4
His wife, Mary, died on 13 August 1919 at Oxrford Road, Gomersal, Yorkshire, England.5,6 Allen DONKERSLEY was granted Letters of Administration on the estate of Mary Ellen DONKERSLEY on 24 November 1919 at Wakefield, Yorkshire, England; £69 7s 0d.6

The birth certificate for their daughter Mary is more interesting.
