In the census of 6 June 1841 at Stoodly Edge, Langfield, Yorkshire, she was listed as aged 20 born in county, in the household of George HALSTEAD, although no relationship was stated.1 In the census of 30 March 1851 at Jack Bridge, Stansfield, Yorkshire, she was listed as single, a Cotton Hand Loom Weaver, aged 28 born Stansfield, the niece of Henry CRABTREE.2 In the census of 7 April 1861 at Hudson Mill, Stansfield, Yorkshire, she was listed as single, a Cotton Power Loom Weaver, aged 40 born Stansfield, a Boarder of James GREENWOOD.3 In the census of 2 April 1871 at Royd Terrace, Heptonstall, Yorkshire, she was listed as single, aged 51 born Erringden, the sister of Martha HALSTEAD.4
Betty died on 18 September 1874 at Royd Terrace, Heptonstall, Yorkshire, at the age of 55.5 Betty was buried on 22 September 1874 at St Thomas, Heptonstall, Yorkshire.

In the census of 7 April 1861 at 2 Charles Street, Halifax, Yorkshire, she was listed as aged 2 born Halifax, the daughter of William APPLEYARD.3 In the census of 2 April 1871 at 27 Neville Street, Northowram, Yorkshire, she was listed as a Worsted Spinner, aged 12 born Halifax, the step daughter of Aquila HALSTEAD.4
Ann married James BOOTH on 17 May 1880 at St John the Baptist, Halifax, Yorkshire. She was aged 21, a spinster residing in Square Road, Halifax.
