In the census of 2 April 1911 at 98 Hufling Lane, Burnley, Lancashire, he was listed as aged 3 born Holme, the son of Lawrence HEAP.2 Halstead HEAP witnessed the marriage of Harry HEAP and Bertha HALSTEAD on 5 September 1931 at St James, Briercliffe, Lancashire.3,4

Research Note: FELL FROM ROOF
Halstead Heap (30), bricklayer, of 17, Hufling-lane, was engaged on roof repairs houses in Tarleton-street yesterday morning, when he slipped on a cat ladder, and was thrown 24 feet to the ground. He was taken to Victoria Hospital in the ambulance and detained suffering from multiple abrasions to the face, hands and knees, severe shock, internal haemorrhage, and a suspected fracture of the skull. On inquiry last night at the Victoria Hospital it was stated that his Condition was unchanged.5 He was listed in the 1939Register taken on 29 September 1939 at 17 Hufling Lane, Burnley, Lancashire. He was married, an Unemployed Bricklayer, born 11 August 1907.6
Halstead died on 11 September 1958 at 45 Hollingreave Road, Burnley, Lancashire, at the age of 51.7,8 Halstead was buried on 15 September 1958 at the Cemetery, Burnley, Lancashire.9 His estate was given Letters of Administration on 3 October 1958 at Manchester, Lancashire. The estate was valued at £845 0s 0d.8
