Deceased had worked the factory of Mr. Smith, Stanley Street, and left with other hands. The deceased, it is said, had been behind with her work, and observed to some of her fellow operatives that she would not return. That was on the 10th inst., and she was not seen subsequently until her body was found in the canal. The face was somewhat discoloured. An inquest was held on Monday, and these facts having been deposed to, the jury returned a verdict of " Found drowned."4,5
