Tom's death was registered in 1919 in the Halifax registration district.2

Leslie HALSTEAD appeared on the 1939Register taken on 29 September 1939 in the household of Joe HALSTEAD and Elizabeth HALSTEAD at 342 Leeds Road, Huddersfield, Yorkshire. He was single, a Buyer (Iron and Steel), born 20 August 1916.2 Leslie HALSTEAD witnessed the probate of the estate of Edith STARR on 16 September 1946 at Wakefield, Yorkshire; £4,121 17s 7d.3
Leslie died on 3 August 1996 at Huddersfield, Yorkshire, at the age of 79.4,3 His estate was probated on 16 August 1996 at Newcastle upon Tyne, Durham..3

     William Halsted Carter PAINE was born in 1869 at Manchester, Lancashire. He was the son of James PAINE and Mary BOWDEN.
William married Lottie Adeline BLACKHURST on 14 April 1896 at The Windsow Hotel, St Vincent Street, Glasgow, Lanarkshire. He was a Firebrick Manufacturer aged 27, a bachelor residing at 47 Muirpark Gardens, Partick. His father was listed as James PAINE, a Ritred Woollen Cloth Merchant and mother as Mary PAINE (deceased - nee BOWDEN). After publication according to the forms of the Scottish Episcopal Church. The marriage was witnessed by Benjamin Joseph BLACKHURST and Leonard Robert BRODIE.1
In the census of 31 March 1901 at St Olaf, Renfrew, Renfrewshire, William was listed as aged 32 born England, the Head of Household; a Firebrick Manufacturer, living with his wife Lottie, son James W R, daughter Winifred A M.2
In the census of 2 April 1911 at Springfield, St Brae Drive, Renfrew, Renfrewshire, William was listed as aged 42 born England, the Head of Household; a Fireclay Goods Manufacturer, living with his wife Lottie, sons James W R, Francis W H and Claude Cdaughter Winifred A M (married 14 years - 4 children - 4 living.)3
William died on 28 October 1924 at Hove, Sussex. His address at the time was shown as Springfield, 203 Southbrae Drive, Scotstourhill, Glasgow.4,5
