     Milton HALSTEAD was born on 5 April 1892 at Thornhill, Yorkshire.1 He was the son of Richard HALSTEAD and Mary Hannah BOOKER. In the census of 31 March 1901 at Edge Lane, Thornhill, Yorkshire, he was listed as aged 8 born Thornhill, the son of Richard HALSTEAD.2 In the census of 2 April 1911 at Chapel Place, Thornhill, Yorkshire, he was listed as single, a Stone Mason, aged 18 born Thornhill, the son of Richard HALSTEAD.3
Milton married Millicent REDFEARN in 1919 in the Dewsbury registration district.4 Milton HALSTEAD was the executor of Mary Hannah HALSTEAD's estate granted on 9 December 1936 at Wakefield, Yorkshire; £390 3s 7d.5 Milton HALSTEAD was Best Man at the marriage of Joseph HALSTEAD and Marion KEMP on 24 September 1939 at St Mark, Dewsbury, Yorkshire.6 He was listed in the 1939Register taken on 29 September 1939 at 82 Castle Mount, Dewsbury, Yorkshire. He was married, a Mason, born 5 April 1892. He was in the ARP Decontamination Service. There was one other redacted person in the household.
His wife, Millicent, died in 1940 in the Dewsbury registration district.7
Milton married Amy EGGLESTON on 7 September 1946 at Centenary Methodist Chapel, Dewsbury, Yorkshire.8,9

In the census of 31 March 1901 at 53 Spansyke Street, Doncaster, Yorkshire, she was listed as aged 27 born Birstal, the wife of John James HALSTEAD (a Railway Goods Porter, living with his wife Hannah, daughter Mary A.)2
In the census of 2 April 1911 at 2 Ellerker Avenue, Doncaster, Yorkshire, she was listed as aged 37 born Birstall, the wife of John James HALSTEAD (a Railway Checker, living with his wife Hannah, daughter Ivy Margaret and sons John WIlliam and Joseph Stanley (married 13 years - 5 children - 4 living.)3)
