In the census of 31 March 1901 at 62 Isledon Road, Islington, Middlesex, Julius was listed as aged 61 born Hanover Square, the Head of Household; a Trunk Shopkeeper, living with his wife Marian,
daughter Jeanette.5 In the census of 2 April 1911 at 28 Welliongton Crescent, Ramsgate, Kent, he was listed as married, a Leather Goods Dealer, aged 71 born Middlesex, a Boarder of Maud Alice WARREN.6
Julius died on 26 January 1914 at 28 Welliongton Crescent, Ramsgate, Kent. His usual address at the time was recorded as 62 Isledon Road, Islington.7,8 His estate was probated on 5 March 1914 at London. The estate was valued at £1,014 18s 4d.8

     Harold was also known as Halsted GROVES.

Research Note: There is no birth registration for a suitable Harold GROVES but there is a Halstead GROVES.

Halstead's father was Edward Melville GROVES alias Edward Melville SLEED and it is thought that the conbination of Halstead and Melville for his son come from them.

Given the date that Halstead Melville was born in South Africa it is quite possible that Halstead/Harold was serving with the army at the time of the Boar War.
Halsted GROVES was born in 1874 at Twickenham, Middlesex. He was the son of Edward Melville SLEED and Amy Emma C M GROVES. In the census of 3 April 1881 at 89 Bartholomew Road, St Pancras, Middlesex, he was listed as aged 6 born Middlesex, the son of Edward Melville SLEED.1 In the census of 5 April 1891 at 73 Regina Road, Islington, Middlesex, he was listed as single, a Commercial Clerk, aged 16 born Twickenham, the son of Edward Melville SLEED.2
Harold married Lilian Mary JACOBSON, daughter of Julius JACOBSON and Marian DAVIS, in 1891 in the Fulham registration district.3
Harold died before 1906.

Marion married Hartley HALSTEAD, son of Harry HALSTEAD and Hannah FOTHERGILL, on 5 June 1948 at Ebenezer Chapel, Colne, Lancashire. He was a Painter and Decorator aged 26, a bachelore residing at 152 Fifth Avenue, Tang Hall, York. His father was listed as William Robert SUGDEN (deceased). Married in the Ebenezer Chapel according to the Rites and Ceremonies of the Primitive Methodists, by Certificate. The marriage was witnessed by Robert William SUGDEN and Marion HALSTEAD.3,4
