In the census of 6 June 1841 at Northgate, Huddersfield, Yorkshire, she was listed as aged 12 born in county, the assumed daughter of Edward HALSTEAD.2 In the census of 30 March 1851 at Hillhouse Lane, Huddersfield, Yorkshire, she was listed as single, a Dress Maker, aged 22 born Huddersfield, the daughter of Edward HALSTEAD.3
Sarah married Charles UNDERHILL on 16 July 1854 at St Phillip, Birmingham, Warwickshire. She was aged 25, a spinster residing in Huddersfield, Yorkshire. Her father was listed as Edward HALSTEAD, a Cloth Weaver. Married in the Parish Church of St Phillip according to the Rites and Ceremonies of the Established Church, by Banns The marriage was witnessed by Harriet WEBB and John WEBB.4,1

Her husband, Charles, died in June 1894 at Hanging Heaton, Yorkshire.10
In the census of 31 March 1901 Sarah was listed as a widow, aged 71 born Huddersfield, the Head of Household; living with her niece Florence KITSON.11
Sarah died in 1906 at Hanging Heaton, Yorkshire.12

In the census of 6 June 1841 at Northgate, Huddersfield, Yorkshire, she was listed as aged 8 born in county, the assumed daughter of Edward HALSTEAD.2 In the census of 30 March 1851 at Hillhouse Lane, Huddersfield, Yorkshire, she was listed as single, a Weaver, aged 17 born Huddersfield, the daughter of Edward HALSTEAD.3
