In the census of 6 June 1841 at Wheatland, Lower Whalley, Barrowford, Lancashire, Jonathan was listed as aged 45 born in county, the Head of Household; a Farmer, livving with his assumed wife Sarah, sons Lawrence, Robert, William and Jonathan, daughters Ann, Mary, Margaret, Sarah and Ellen.2
Jonathan died on 25 April 1846 at Wheatland, Lower Whalley, Barrowford, Lancashire. On Sunday last, at Wheatbead, after a short but severe attack of the Erysipelus, Mr. Jonathan Walsh, cattle dealer; in the 53rd year of his age, much respected.3,4
