He was a Schoolmaster aged 25, a bachelor residing in Walsden. His father was listed as Abraham SAGAR, a Manager. After Banns. The married was witnessed by Frank SMITH, Annie HALSTEAD and Grace E GREENWOOD.1,2

In the census of 2 April 1911 at 28 Meadow Cottages, Facit, Lancashire, Thomas was listed as aged 44 born Whitworth, the Head of Household; a Teacher of Music and Scholastic Studies, living with his wife Alice, sons Herbert, Tom, Harry, John H and Abraham, daughters May, Annie and Nora (married 18 years - 9 children - 8 living.)4
