John married Florence Gertrude HABENS in 1905 in the Steyning registration district.9
In the census of 2 April 1911 at 57 Beech Lane, Macclesfield, Cheshire, John was listed as aged 46 born Rugby, Warwickshire, the Head of Household; an Ironmonger, living with his wife Florence Gertrude (married 5 years - no children.)10 He was the executor of John CUTTS's estate granted on 16 March 1922 at London; £5,042 18s 7d.1
John died on 28 November 1935 at 9 Preston Park Avenue, Brighton, Sussex.11,1

In the census of 6 June 1841 at Chichester, Sussex, he was listed as aged 5 born in county, the assumed son of Henry HALSTED.1
Henry died at sea on 10 November 1858 at the age of 22; on board the Nankin.2 His estate was given Letters of Administration on 21 May 1859 at Principal Probate Registry, London. The estate was valued at under £100 Queens pay.2

Sarah married John HALSTED on 10 September 1826 at the Parish Church, St Giles without Cripplegate, City of London. She was a spinster of this parish. After Banns. The marriage was witnessed by B ROLFE and A HALSTED.1
In the census of 6 June 1841 at 3 Church Place, St James Garlick Hythe, London, she was listed as aged 36 born in county, the assumed wife of John HALSTED (a Porter, living with his assumed wife Sarah and children Richard, Henry and Frederick.)2 Her husband, an unknown person , was buried on 25 October 1846 at the Parish Church, St James Garlick Hythe, London.
Sarah died in August 1849 at 41 Eagle Street, Holborn, Middlesex.3
