In the census of 5 April 1891 at 29-33 Chandos Street, Hereford, Herefordshire, she was listed as aged 9 born Leominster, the daughter of Edward Percy HALSTEAD.2 In the census of 31 March 1901 at Moss Lane, Romford, Essex, she was listed as single, Vetenary Surgeons Daughter, aged 19 born Leominster, Herefordshire, a Visitor of Harley James THOMAS.3 She was listed in the 1939Register taken on 29 September 1939 at 42 Eastern Road, Hornsey, Middlesex. She was single, a Homekeeper, born 24 July 1881.4
Katharine died on 26 April 1971 at 79 Middle Lane, London, at the age of 89. Whilst the date is not quite correct with the 1939Register I am sure that it is the right person. Her death was also only registered as Catherine.5,6 Her estate was probated on 14 July 1971 at London. The estate was valued at £5,281.6

     William Halstead TOWNLEY was born in 1887 at Bentham, Yorkshire. He was the son of William TOWNLEY and Mary HALSTEAD. In the census of 5 April 1891 at Wennington Side, Clapham, Yorkshire, he was listed as aged 4 born Bentham, the son of William TOWNLEY.1 In the census of 31 March 1901 at Wenningside, Clapham Cum Newby, Yorkshire, he was listed as aged 14 born Bentham, the son of William TOWNLEY.2
