Joseph Witham HALSTEAD

#4252, b. 1882
Last Edited=21 Aug 2013
Research Note: According to the 1911 census his parents had had 5 children and only 4 were still living.

The other four children can all be accounted for and therefore it must have been Joseph who died. However no death record can be found for a Joseph between 1901 and 1911.

It is always possible that he joined the army and died overseas but then I would have expected a death in the army records.

Joseph Witham HALSTEAD was born in 1882 at Bingley, Yorkshire.1 He was the son of Mark HALSTEAD and Ann GREENWOOD. In the census of 5 April 1891 at 4 James Street, Bingley, Yorkshire, he was listed as aged 8 born Bingley, the son of Mark HALSTEAD.2 In the census of 31 March 1901 at 24 Summergate Place, Halifax, Yorkshire, he was listed as single, a Joiners Apprentice, aged 18 born Bingley, the son of Mark HALSTEAD.3
